LITERARY AND AUDIOVISUAL TRANSLATOR

I live in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, where I was born. As a child, I received a bilingual (French and Spanish) education, which allowed me to develop a very strong bond with the French language and culture.
As an avid reader from early childhood, the decision to study professional translation and literature came naturally.

In 2004, I graduated from Argentina’s most prestigious language school (IESLV “Juan Ramón Fernández”, Buenos Aires) as a French literary, scientific, and technical translator. That same year, I co-founded the audiovisual translation company Enedete Traducciones with two other colleagues and I also started working for several subtitling companies and publishing houses.

Since then, I devote myself exclusively to these two types of translation I am most passionate about, working on diverse and challenging projects for clients worldwide. Eight years ago, I started to work with English for the audiovisual industry.

As a literary translator, I have translated 15 books (from fiction to essays on social sciences). I also worked for many years as a freelance translator for Le Monde diplomatique in Spanish and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) among others.

Since 2004, I have provided subtitling, proofreading and language localization services to international subtitling companies in the audiovisual industry. In 2009, I joined the permanent team of translators and proofreaders for the French TV channel TV5 Monde. Other end clients I regularly work for include My French Film Festival (MyFFF), the Institut Français du Cinéma, Lionsgate, and Miramax.

Translation is my job, my passion and, more often than not, my own playground to enjoy and explore.
